Post Script is a family business and has been offering a full house clearance service since 1994. We specialise in full or part house clearance and in clearing garages, lofts, offices, storage facilities, sheds, basements and much more. The company also separately operates a full antiques dealership and our staff members are qualified to undertake written probate valuations in accordance with Section 160 of the Inheritance Tax Act as well as written insurance valuations. We offer free, no obligation quotes for the purchase of antiques and collectibles and free, no obligation, estimates for all house clearance requirements.
Over the last thirty years, the company has worked with solicitors, estate agents, and both the public and private sectors and we are confident in stating that we have the most comprehensive package of services available in this area.
How It Works
This can work in several ways.
If you have a property that is entirely or mostly filled with antique or valuable items, we will offer a fair price for the items and clear the entire property. Those items that are of no interest to us but still have some value will be recycled via local charities or one of our many contacts and everything else will be disposed of at Environment Agency approved recycling centres.
In circumstances where there is a mixture of valuable and more ordinary items or items of rubbish, one cost would mitigate the other and we would pay you, or you would pay us depending on the split or we might come to an agreement that those items of value are more or less equal to the labour and recycling costs and you would get the property cleared free of charge.
Lastly, if the contents are completely beyond salvation, or where there is an enormous amount of rubbish we would simply provide an estimate for the removal and disposal costs.
Please call us in before you start to clear the property as items are often thrown away because they are considered rubbish – we are experts in recycling and reclaiming and you could be disposing of valuable items.
We are the only company in the area who exclusively work in this way.
We do make a charge for insurance valuations and valuations for probate but, otherwise, all estimates for our work or offers to purchase are completely free of charge; please simply ask about these services.

The company is committed to recycling, re-using, and keeping precious or functional items in the system whenever possible. We have a policy of re-using, recycling, reclaiming, and repurposing whenever possible.
